Wishing everyone a very happy new year from all of us here at Diane Harbridge HQ, yesterday was the first day back in the office so we are now officially back into the routine!! After a nice and relaxing break it’s now all systems go organising the next photo shoot, and preparing for our first trade show of the year which is only 7 weeks away! At the end of February Diane and the team will be on the road travelling down to Birmingham South to exhibit with the Bridal Roadshow, and it is vital you’re all registered as we are thoroughly looking forward to seeing as many of you there as possible for a catch up! For more information on the Bridal Roadshow and show dates please see their website; www.bridalroadshow.co.uk
Last year was a truly gratifying year for Diane and the team and there is certainly high hopes for this coming year, a big factor of that success was welcoming on board the multiple new accounts taken on while at the Harrogate Bridal Show back in September. It is always very rewarding taking on new Diane Harbridge stockists and forecasting which of their new samples will do great on repeats! It is a pleasure to be working with some fantastic shops already and we are very much looking forward to building a fantastic relationship with our latest accounts.
Due to circumstances out of our control the photo shoot for Diane’s latest collection, ‘The English Rose’ is a little delayed but if anyone would like any other of our gorgeous images please contact firstname.lastname@example.org today and get the excitement started before all your beautiful new samples come in and the end of the month!! If any of you have any queries or questions over your Harrogate orders please speak to email@example.com who will be more than happy to assist you.
See you all in February!
It’s crazy to think we’re already in December and preparing for Christmas. It has been a really great year in the Diane Harbridge HQ and Diane would like to say a big thank you to all of you lovely retailers for a successful and very busy year.
Diane has some exciting news for the new year as she will now be exhibiting across the country with the Bridal Roadshow, the first show being in February in Birmingham South. The Bridal Roadshow is an exciting and relatively new concept for the industry and it is remarkable how many people have registered, in fact, Diane was unable to get onto one of the dates as it was fully booked! From the abundance of names registered, it is very clear that the manufacturers feel this is the way forward as it reduces the costs heavily in comparison to the larger shows, this in turn helps keep the cost down for the retailers. In addition, it is a very savvy way of spreading buying costs out for retailers over the year, rather than having to save for an annual show. There are 4 shows Diane and the team will be attending and of course, the Harrogate Bridal show in September, so we hope to see as many of you there as possible. We’re thoroughly looking forward to a busy year exhibiting, we will also be holding 2 dates for our recent photo shoots which is very exciting as shoots are always fun!
2016 is well underway and what an amazing 6 months i have had, i’m able to look back and reflect on some of the key events that happened over the past few months and also look ahead to those still to come! Already this year i have been to London twice both exhibiting and visiting, and flown to the workshop in Europe a couple of times. Over the past couple of months, I have dedicated a lot of time into designing a brand new collection named, Precious. The Precious collection was launched at the London Bridal Show held back in March at Olympia where myself and the team spent a lovely 3 days exhibiting at the show. The collection was well received by the visitors who attended the event and overall, it was a great success. I also had a scene on the main catwalk, this was newly introduced to the show and was the first year they had done it. I put 7 beautiful dresses on the catwalk, all of varying shapes and styles, i also had a little surprise for the audience too as i had designed the most amazing ostrich feather bomber jacket to be worn with one of the dresses and a full feather cape, both adding that “wow” to the catwalk.
Just last month we had the photo shoot for the Precious collection which we did over 2 days in Chester, the images look incredible and i can’t wait to get them up on my website as soon as we get them back from the photographer as he is currently busy doing ‘the finishing touches’ to the shots.
Throughout July and August i will be on the road visiting my retailers (preferably on a Tuesday), so if any of you would like me to visit please contact the girls in the office and they will be more than happy to arrange this for you, 01244 347353. I’m excited to come and see how things are going with your business and to have a general catch up as it is sometimes difficult at the shows as things are so hectic!
As the nights are getting lighter and the air is getting milder we look ahead into the year (that is flying by!) and summarise what myself and the team have to look forward too. We’ve successfully waved goodbye to a busy Easter in the showroom and among our retailers so it’s time to focus on the next big event… which i am so excited for!!… our photo shoot for my latest collection, ‘Precious’. We will be holding the shoot over two days next month and i’m thoroughly looking forward to getting the images up on the website and sent out to you all. Photographing the collection is one of my favourite parts as all the girls, including myself get very excited about the styling aspect and visualising what we want from the shoot. It’s particularly fun engaging with the whole team and sharing ideas, seeing the finished result is very rewarding.
In other news, this month has proved to be very popular with the lovely prom girls. It’s prom season at the minute and the showroom has been bustling with girls desperately trying to find their perfect dress for their special occasion. We’ve even had to replenish stock as the shelves were looking a little bare!
I hope everyone has had a great start to the year and you’re all on board for the Harrogate Bridal Show in September!
On Monday 11th April Diane will be hosting a very special showroom event for a selection of retailers showcasing the very latest ‘Precious’ collection. The collection was originally exhibited at the London Bridal Show Sunday 6th March-Tuesday 8th March and the feedback received over the pieces that make up ‘Precious’ was absolutely overwhelming. The collection was widely admired by the buyers that attended the show and nothing but positive comments were made. We’re very excited to get all of our retailers samples in store so the lovely brides-to-be can get trying them on!
Early Saturday morning, 5th March Lydia and Lindsey set off for London and onto Olympia, on a quest to set up the stand and sort all dresses ahead of the London Bridal Show that commenced the following day, which also happened to be Mothers Day! The location of the stand was at the forefront of the action; positioned right next to the entrance of the hall, which was extremely pleasing, and the size of the stand was far bigger than expected – perfect for displaying the new collection and a selection of the best carry overs from the September collection ‘Summer of Love’. Later that evening Diane and Leanne joined the girls in London ready for the show the next day. A lot of hard work and preparation goes into these exhibitions so the team were both apprehensive and extremely excited beforehand.
Diane was showcasing her latest collection ‘Precious’ at the show that featured some beautiful pieces made from fluid Chantilly lace, chiffon, jersey and airy tulles, the collection takes a more relaxed approach while still oozing romance and elegance. A new addition to the London Bridal Show this year was the runway show; collections from eleven brands took to the catwalk to unveil their latest designs to awaiting buyers, which displayed 7 chosen pieces generating that extra buzz. Statement pieces sure to make an impact were the basis of Diane’s runway scene, along with dramatic feathers that accessorized the dresses impeccably. The feedback received due to the catwalk show was overwhelming and numerous comments were made that Diane’s designs stole the show!
Diane and the team felt extremely proud and pleased with the attention surrounding the runway scene, because of the catwalk this generated a lot of interest to the stand meaning that the team was kept on their toes throughout the exhibition! Overall, the London Bridal Show was a huge success for Diane and the ‘Precious’ collection was well received by the buyers. Sales over the three days stood more than that from the previous year, morale in the team is at an all time high and they continue to push for perfection in each collection and ensure they are fulfilling that gap in the market.
Thank you to everyone who attended the show and made it such a success, Diane is thrilled to welcome a number of new accounts on board and looks forward to a prosperous working relationship together. It was also a pleasure seeing some familiar faces at the show for Diane and thanks everyone who bought into the new collection ‘Precious’, the team very much can’t wait for all your new samples to arrive!
Diane and the team wanted to say a big thank you to all you retailers who visited us over the last couple of days at the London Bridal Show, the show was a huge success and we are extremely happy with the feedback we received over the latest ‘Precious’ collection. It was a busy 3 days at Olympia and we are so pleased to welcome on board some fabulous new accounts. It was great to see some familiar faces there too including Brides of Berkhamsted, Lisa Bilotti and Ivy Blu… thanks for coming to say hello.
It’s been a manic and very exciting time with the run up to the show and the show itself, we are focusing on getting all your new samples ordered and into store ASAP! We hope you all had a lovely time at the London Bridal Show and really loved the new designs as much as us! Looking forward to seeing you all again in Harrogate in September.
We are looking forward to the London Bridal Show for a number of reasons. Firstly, we are premiering our new collection ‘Precious’ and you can be rest assured the experience of the fashion show will be full of excitement, it’s not to be missed.
To all of you who are attending the Bridal Show, you can locate us at stand B3. We look forward to seeing you all this weekend for what will be a memorable occasion.
Diane has been busy over the last couple of weeks designing this exceptional piece, our talented seamstress has been working very hard in house to create this to absolute perfection ready to exhibit at the London Bridal Show, commencing this weekend. The jacket is made from Ostrich feathers that are hand stitched onto a Satin jacket beneath. We are so excited to see this on the cat-walk this weekend, we think it will be a great addition to our collection. A show stopper that is all made in Britain on the DH premises.
Valentines day is slowly approaching and we are feeling generous. To those that have booked an appointment on the weekend of Valentines day are going to be part of a draw to win a bottle of Rose Cava and some Strawberry Lindor chocolates to go nicely with it.
We like to encourage our Brides to make an appointment so you can be part of the draw. Like the saying goes, you have to be in it to win it. We often have little competitions and prizes for our brides as we believe the experience you have with us whilst finding your dream wedding dress is one of importance and one of enjoyment. It’s also satisfying for us to see our brides win whatever the prize may be…
We would also like to thank you all for the incredible support you have shown us the past year, we are truly grateful and are excited for what the future holds. Our journey is your journey and we are so thankful for all the feedback you have given us, we do take it all on board.
All our love and best wishes
Diane and the team xo
